← hardcore

Your designs are yours.

How hardcore treats your files and your IP, in plain words. It's the same on every plan, including Free.

These are promises we hold ourselves to, not yet a contract: hardcore isn't incorporated, and the terms and NDA haven't had legal review. Legal review is planned once the beta is running.
You own everything

Your files, and every design, revision and report hardcore makes for you, belong to you. We don't claim any licence back.

Native files, nothing locked in

KiCad, STEP, Gerbers, BOM and firmware source that open in your own tools. Download everything at any time and keep it if you leave.

Private by default

Only you and the people you invite can see your projects. We never show your work publicly without your written permission.

No training on your designs

We never use your files or designs to train or tune models. We only use services whose terms don't let them train on your files, and we'll share that list under NDA on request.

Working for clients

Files you upload for a client stay your client's confidential information, and we treat them that way. Hand the outputs to your client as your own work: the files carry no hardcore branding.

Each customer kept apart

Every customer's projects are isolated. Your designs are never used as examples, templates or inputs for anyone else.

Who can open your projects

Inside hardcore, only the person running your review or helping when you ask for support. In the beta, that's the founder, and you can see an access log of every time we open your project.

Delete on request

Ask, and we delete one project or your whole account, backups included, within 30 days and confirm by email. We keep only the billing records the law requires.

Where files are stored

Your projects are stored in the United States.

No controlled data

The closed beta doesn't accept export-controlled technical data (such as ITAR or EAR), defense work or medical device files.

Leaving

Cancel any time, download everything first, and your files stay yours after you go.

Need an NDA before you share anything? We have a mutual NDA built on these same terms, ready to sign. Ask for it when you request access.

Request access

A plain-language summary, not a contract. If something here matters for your client work, ask and we'll put it in the NDA.

Bring a real project.

Import one of your own boards or STEP files, ask for a change, and see what comes back. It stays private.
